The ancient city of Great Zimbabwe was occupied between the 12th and 15th centuries, and it was the largest settlement in southern Africa. This place is also a UNESCO World Heritage site. Great Zimbabwe served as a royal palace for the Zimbabwean monarch and would have been used as the seat of political power. Eventually the city was abandoned and fell into ruin. 🇿🇼 . . . . #zimbabwe#africa#travel#greatzimbabweruins#unesco#worldherritage#wonderoftheworld A post shared by Graceontour💫Travel (@graceontour) on Apr 27, 2020 at 11:09am PDT View this post on Instagram Currently traveling by looking back on old adventures 🗺 . . . . #africa#travel#zimbabwe#greatzimbabwe#zimbabweruins#unescoworldheritage#unesco#overland#africaoverland A post shared by Graceontour💫Travel (@graceontour) on May 2, 2020 at 3:50am PDT https://www.instagram.com/p/B_4qCoig–t/ View this post on Instagram ”Laughter sparkles like a splash of water in sunlight” . . . . #africa#travel#victoriafalls#victoriafallszimbabwe#zimbabwe#discoverafrica#exploreafrica#travelzimbabwe#lonelyplanet A post shared by Graceontour💫Travel (@graceontour) on May 11, 2020 at 9:14am PDT View this post on Instagram Thank you Africa for all the amazing experiences! I will never forget • Having dinner by the camp fire and sleeping on the savanna with hippos and lions wandering outside the tent. ⛺️🦁🦛 • Spending countless hours on a overland truck without AC.🚍😅 • Stopping by the side of the road and cooking lunch together and flapping our dishes to get them dry. 🍽 • Seeing the great migration in the Serengeti 🦓 • Getting to know some amazing people and by the end becoming like a little traveling family. Our trip was cut short by half and I know that someday I will be back to finish the trip the way we were supposed but until then I’m going to try and enjoy my local area and find hidden gems that I’ve never seen before. 🇸🇪 A post shared by Graceontour💫Travel (@graceontour) on May 15, 2020 at 4:24am PDT
